Richard Persey

Richard is a local business man involved in commercial property, finance and agriculture. Born in Devon, Richard relocated to London after university, working for a national housebuilder and commercial real estate agency.

 

Once back in Devon, Richard secured planning consent and built Hitchcocks Business Park which continues to develop.

Neal and Richard worked together on an outline application for 60 houses at Uffculme, successfully achieving planning consent at appeal. This lead to Neal and Richard combining their expertise forming Place Land LLP.

The Place Land team has a wealth of knowledge and experience in identifying and promoting land for development to ensure maximum returns for landowners are achieved. We have the ability and skills to navigate the planning system to achieve deliverable residential planning permissions ready to be sold on the open market.

Ruth Appleby

With a degree in Planning and Development Surveying, Ruth has gained relevant experience in the sector during her time at a rural planning and development consultancy in Northumberland, and has spent the last two years in London working in development for a national student accommodation provider. Ruth also became a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors whilst at this firm.

 

Having recently relocated to the south west, Ruth has joined Place Land as a Chartered Planning and Development Surveyor, responsible for appraising potential development sites and project management.

Neal Jillings

Neal is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute with over twenty years experience of working in the planning system.

 

This experience encompasses time working for a local planning authority, the Planning Inspectorate, Savills and, from 2012 to 2017 as an independent planning consultant.

 

Neal's experience as a town planner encompasses a wide range of experience, primarily residential, from one house through to 1,000 residential units and everything in between.
